Waltz 5 week Western Waltz Class at Northwest Technical School 1515 S Munn Ave, Maryville, MO 64468, US (660) 671-1283. Country Waltz is a good follow up class to the two step class. Country Waltz is a progressive dance, around the outside of the dance floor. Join us and learn to be comfortable on the dance floor. Dancing is great exercise for your brain, balance and body. Space is limited! Sign up early.
Moves: Students will learn the basic footwork for the Western (progressive) Waltz, along with basic turns and twirls. You will learn couples turn, inside and outside arch turns and much more. We will cover a basic Ballroom Waltz box and turn. These basic moves will allow students to feel at ease and look good on the dance floor, whether it be for a special occasion or having fun at a social dance.
A basic knowledge of western dancing is encouraged, but not required. Waltz is a partner dance, with possibility of solo students being paired with another solo student for Waltz lessons.
